Live Space migrates to Wordpress!

If you try to access your Windows Live Space, you will probably get a message saying that Windows Live Space will migrate to Wordpress, like this:

This effectively means that Windows Live Space will no longer exist in several months!
You will have several options which include of course, to migrate immediately or decide to do the migration later, and most of all, you will have the opportunity to save your blogs to your local disk, which does the same as our LSSaver. However, LSSaver does better :D So, you have one more option to save your Live Space blogs.
If you decided to migrate, by clicking on the continue button, you will be prompted to enter the Wordpress account and password to login or login with your windows live ID if you do not have a Wordpress account yet.

Suppose you do not have a Wordpress account and you clicked on the Connect button, you will need to log on with your Window Live ID, then you will create a Wordpress account, like these:

Then you will have the chance to select a name and a title for your Wordpress blog or just keep the same as that for your Live Space.

After you click on the Signup button, the migration will start and after a while, if everything goes OK, you will receive three emails in your box with important information about your Wordpress account.

So it means that your Live Space is migrated successfully to Wordpress. Take a look at your new blog, which, I have to say, is much better!
Finally, it’s sad to say that, as Live Space will disappear eventually, LSSaver will die with it together.

Goodbye!

  1. I didn't like wordpress for a number of reasons, and decided to move my space blog to blogspot.com using the tool available here: http://st185cs.wordpress.com

  2. Very glad to know your work, nice stuff that is useful for ones like blogspot. Personally, I like blogspot very much and I have three blogs running on blogspot including this one. But wordpress is at least "another taste" if not more professional.
